Vice Chair Vaughan called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

20, 2017
Commissioner Kiphuth moved, Commissioner Eskridge seconded, approval of the
consent calendar as presented. The motion was carried by the following vote:

PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
2 18-0078 Approve 2018 Draft Master Work Plan
Community Services Manager Trenton Hill provided a brief overview of the 2108
Draft Master Work Plan Calendar. Commissioners inquired if the Hands on the Arts
Festival was moved to March, and about the types of volunteers that are needed for
the festival.
Community Services Manager Hill indicated the Hands on the Arts Festival will be
held on May 19, however; staff will provide a presentation in March detailing the
festival components. In addition, he indicated all artists are welcome and
encouraged to participate in the festival.
Commissioner Laird moved, Commissioner Kiphuth seconded, the approval of the
2018 Draft Master Work Plan as presented. The motion was carried by the following
vote:

Commissioner Laird inquired about the community scavenger hunt idea that was
suggested at a previous Arts Commission meeting.
Community Services Manager Hill indicated staff will be presenting various ideas
including the community scavenger hunt to the Arts Commission in March.
