CALL TO ORDER
Chair Veith called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

Chair Veith led the salute to the United States flag.

PRESENTATION
A 24-0855 Civic Center Amphitheater Update
Kristin Dance, Recreation Coordinator, introduced Linda Brunker, artist, to provide
an update on the Civic Center Amphitheater. Highlights included: design concept,
community workshop, final design, fabrication, and installation.
Commissioners asked questions regarding the delayed installation.
B 24-0772 Public Art Annual Update
Kristin Dance and Trenton Hill, Recreation Services Manager, provided a Public Art
Annual Update. Highlights included: Art in Private Development, Art in Public
Places, other projects and miscellaneous updates, and what's ahead for art in

private development and public places.
Commissioners asked questions regarding who fabricated the suns and information
about rotating art at the Civic Center.

approve the consent calendar as submitted. The motion carried by the following

2024
Approve the Arts Commission Minutes of June 19, 2024 as submitted.
PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
2 24-0808 National Arts and Humanities Month (Final Project and Plans)
Kristin Dance informed the Commission that this year's National Arts and
Humanities Month project will be Art in the Park. The project will be held at
Washington Park and displayed between Oct. 11 to Nov. 11. Kristin will follow up
with Commissioners to fill volunteer spots.
3 24-0707 Selection of Chair and Vice Chair
Commissioners discussed and nominated Agnes Veith as Chair, and Katheryn Filley
as Vice Chair.
Commissioner Lam moved and Commissioner Eskridge seconded the motion to
approve the selection of Agnes Veith as Chair and Katheryn Filley as Vice Chair of
the Arts Commission.

The Chair may determine it would be impractical to include remote public
comment during Oral Communications for the purpose of timeliness of the meeting
or conducting an orderly meeting. Such a determination shall be made prior to
