She communicated the Commission’s ranking of Study Issues ESD 22-01 Complete a Comprehensive Update of the 2013 Feasibility Study for Recycled Water Expansion, DPW 22-04 Street Tree Repopulation with an Equity Lens, DPW 22-01 Fleet Planning for Electric Vehicle Transition and DPW 22-02 Simplify Sidewalk Riding Ordinance (Deferred by the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission). Sharlene Liu shared support for Study Issues DPW 22-01 and CDD 19-07. AMENDMENT TO SUBSTITUTE: Councilmember Larsson moved and Mayor Klein seconded the motion to substitute the main motion with a motion to reduce the scope of CDD 19-07 Develop Citywide Guidelines or Criteria for Allowing Reduced Parking for Development Projects and for Future Conversions of Parking to Other Uses, to evaluate single-family and multi-family parking standards in Sunnyvale and compare the standards to other jurisdictions. FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Councilmember Din offered a friendly amendment to include considering and developing guidelines for requests to reduce parking standards in the motion. Councilmember Larsson declined to accept the friendly amendment. FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Councilmember Din offered a friendly amendment to include directing staff to identify policies from other cities that are worthy of further study. Councilmember Larsson and Mayor Klein accepted the friendly amendment.
