Sharlene Liu, Sunnyvale Safe Streets, spoke in support of implementing buffered bicycle lanes on Hollenbeck Avenue. Daniel Karpelevitch, Sunnyvale Safe Streets, spoke to their canvassing results when asking residents about implementing bicycle lanes on Hollenbeck Avenue. Margaret Lawson spoke to the El Paso de los Suenos sculpture and how to best optimize the viewing experience. Steve provided a presentation requesting a neutral Environmental Impact Report be prepared for the proposed MidPen Housing Corporation development at 295 S. Mathilda Avenue. FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Vice Mayor Sell offered a friendly amendment to include studying adding additional employee termination notice requirements into the draft Service Worker Retention Ordinance. Councilmember Cisneros declined to accept the friendly amendment. FRIENDLY AMENDMENT: Councilmember Cisneros offered a friendly amendment to change the $25,000 or more threshold for contracts for building and/or food services to $50,000 or more. Councilmember Chang accepted the friendly amendment.
