Vice Chair Hopkins called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

PRESENTATION
Senior Planner George Schroeder announced newly appointed Commissioner
Pamela Sharma to her first meeting and provided her interests and background.
Mr. Schroeder also noted that this is Commissioner Cadouri's last meeting as she
will be changing residences outside the City.

STANDING ITEM: CONSIDERATION OF POTENTIAL STUDY ISSUES

-Commissioner Comments
Commissioner Cadouri announced her leaving the City and thanked the
Commissioners for their continued service.
Commissioner Bratton asked the Commissioners if they were interested in joining
her in touring the Heritage Resources in the City provided there are no Brown Act
issues.
Commissioner Sharma asked about a previous agenda item regarding documenting
Asian American history and Mr. Schroeder replied that an active Study Issue to
update the Historic Context Statement to reflect contributions by Asian-Americans
and other minorities in Sunnyvale. He stated that the City Council ranked it however
the funding was not approved and would be reconsidered next year.
INFORMATION ONLY REPORTS/ITEMS
Mr. Schroeder noted that there will likely be no meeting in August due to lack of
business and the next regular meeting will likely occur in September which may
include a training from the City Attorney's office regarding the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Mr. Schroeder wished Commissioner Cadouri the best on her future endeavors and
welcomed Commissioner Sharma.
Chair Hopkins asked about continuing Zoom meetings and Mr. Schroeder stated
that the City Clerk, with the guidance of the City Council, is currently determining
how the City will be conducting Board and Commission meetings; whether they will
be a hybrid of a physical and virtual meeting or to revert back to only physical
meetings.
ADJOURNMENT
Chair Hopkins adjourned the meeting at 7:18 PM.
