Chair Hiremath asked for discussion or a motion on the Consent Calendar. MOTION: Commissioner Gilbert moved and Vice Chair Stetson seconded the motion to approve the Consent Calendar. Motion carried by the following vote: City of Sunnyvale Page 1 Housing and Human Services Meeting Minutes - Final January 27, 2021 Commission Yes: 6 - Chair Hiremath Vice Chair Stetson Commissioner Gilbert Commissioner Kwok Commissioner Sell Commissioner White No: 0 Absent: 1 - Commissioner Lowe PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS 2 21-0231 CDBG-CV Evaluations and Funding Recommendations Housing Programs Analyst Leif Christiansen provided the staff report. After some clarification questions of staff, Chair Hiremath opened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. The following agency representatives spoke on behalf of their proposals. ● Sheri Burns, Executive Director at Silicon Valley Independent Living Center ● Luisa Buada, Chief Executive Officer at Ravenswood Family Health Center ● Marie Bernard, Executive Director at Sunnyvale Community Services ● TJ Clark, Mobile Homeless Services Director at WeHOPE Chair Hiremath closed the public hearing at 7:58 p.m. After discussion and questions of staff and agency representatives, Chair Hiremath asked for a motion. MOTION: Commissioner Gilbert moved and Vice Chair Stetson seconded the motion to approve Alternative 1: Recommend that City Council fund the CDBG-CV proposals in the amounts shown in Attachment 1 to the report. NON-AGENDA ITEMS & COMMENTS -Commissioner Comments None. -Staff Comments Housing Officer Jenny Carloni shared that there is now a vacancy due to Commissioner Lowe notification that he was no longer able to serve. She added that if the commissioners knew of anyone interested, to refer them to the City Clerk's office to apply. She also noted that at the February meeting, representatives for the regular CDBG funding cycle will be presenting.
