CALL TO ORDER
Chair Kesting called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

Chair Kesting led the salute to the United States flag.

PRESENTATION
A 24-0705 Parks and Recreation Month
Tracey Gott, Recreation Service Manager, presented on Parks and Recreation
Month. Highlights included: proclamation, summer/camp registration totals,
leadership opportunities, older adult programs, earth day/civic center grand
opening, hands on the arts, 4th of July drone show and sunset movie series.
Commissioners asked about drop-in stats, projected summer/camp registration
totals, and usage of parks for events in north and south Sunnyvale.
B 24-0660 Capital Improvements Project Update
Jim Stark, Superintendent of Golf and Parks, provided a Capital Improvements
Project Update. Highlights included: Lakewood Library, Corn Palace, playground
replacement, and the Community Center.

Commissioners asked about electrify outlets at parks, lighting at picnic sites, the
late night lights study issue, and proposed batting cages at Lakewood Park's.
C 24-0659 Recognition of Service
Damon Sparacino, Superintendent of Recreation Services, thanked Daniel
Bremond for his years of service.

Commissioners discussed and nominated David Kesting and Daniel Bremond as
Chair, and Dona Mason as Vice Chair.

Staff conducted a roll call vote. David Kesting was voted as Chair and Dona Mason
as Vice Chair.
Chair Kesting moved and Vice Chair Mason seconded the motion to approve the
selection of David Kesting as Chair and Dona Mason as Vice Chair of the Parks
and Recreation Commission.
The motion carried by the following vote:
