Olive Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086 CALL TO ORDER Gerri Caruso, Zoning Administrator. called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS File #: 2018-7071 Location: 495 E Java Dr. (APN: 110-32-035) Proposed Project: PARCEL MAP to subdivide one lot into two lots (common area between buildings) for NetApp and Google. Applicant / Owner: Kier & Wright / NetApp Environmental Review: Categorical Exemption Class 15 Staff Contact: Ryan Kuchenig, (408) 730-7431, rkuchenig@sunnyvale.ca.gov Issues: Parking Recommendation: Approve with conditions Ms. Caruso inquired with Ryan Kuchenig, project planner, had any comments or changes to the staff report. Mr. Kuchening stated there were no changes to the staff report nor any comments from the public. Ms. Caruso opened the hearing to the applicant. Ralph Renne, applicant, requested for clarification on condition GC-3 Sidewalk Improvements. He inquired if he needed to get a sidewalk easement prior to recordation but not prior to map approval. Mr. Kuchenig stated that was his understanding of the condition, as stated by the Department of Public Works. Mr. Renne inquired if this meant the sidewalk should be completed before allowing it to be recorded. City of Sunnyvale Page 1 Zoning Administrator Hearing Meeting Minutes October 24, 2018 Ryan Amaya, applicant, stated they will have to do an offset offsite plan and as long as the bond is in place, the map can be recorded. Mr. Renne inquired why the measurement in GC-3 stated a 215 feet sidewalk to be added when his measurements were at 135 feet. Mr. Renne was informed by fellow applicant, Scott Anderson, that the measurement included existing sidewalk at the site. Seeing no members of the public hearing in attendance, Ms. Caruso closed the public hearing. Ms. Caruso inquired with the applicant if they would like further clarification with the Deaprtment of Public Works on condition of approval GC-3, to which she can take the item under advisement and approve two days later. Mr. Renne stated he would prefer to have her approve the project at the hearing. He will work with Public Works on the condition.
