HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE Minutes March 8, 2023 Regular Meeting The meeting was called to order by Chair Tim Meyer at 5:33 p.m. on March 8, 2023 in Government Center Room 270. 1 ROLL CALL PRESENT: Tim Meyer VIRTUAL: Tom Wondolkowski, Matt Osterlund, ABSENT: Brian Finstad, Kathleen Laakso CITY STAFF PRESENT: Jeff Skrenes OTHERS PRESENT: Garner Moffat (in-person), Jason Rhoads 2 APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2.1 Regular Meeting minutes, February 8, 2023 MOTION to approve minutes made by Member Matt Osterlund, seconded by Member Tom Wondolkowski, carried unanimously. 3 OLD BUSINESS 4 NEW BUSINESS 4.1 Jason Rhoads of Mix Cosmetics has a proposal to purchase and locate in 1309 Tower Avenue. He presented plans and asked for guidance from the HPC on restoration of the site. 4.2 Housing Planner/Coordinator Skrenes presented proposed changes to city code regarding historic preservation. Proposed changes came from community members, committee members, city staff, and the Wisconsin State Historical Preservation Office. Committee members asked for a consolidated document, to discuss at the next meeting when more members could be present. 5 RECURRING BUSINESS 6 ADJOURNMENT MOTION to adjourn at 6:36 p.m. made by Member Tom Wondolkowski, seconded by Member Matt Osterlund, carried.
