Roll Call Present: Deanna Reder, Jenny Van Sickle (virtual audio), Louren Yzaguirre, Ehpraim Nikoi, Tanzeem Ali (virtual) Also Present: Jim Paine 2. Approval of May 9th minutes Carried to approve viva voce. 3. Update from SPD Chief Nick Alexander Tabled for next meeting as Chief Alexander could not make it. No objections. 4. Chair Reder’s Research on Similar Commissions. Tabled for next meeting for more time to complete research. 5. Juneteenth Sponsorship Chair Reder discussed the letter from ChaQuana McEntyre regarding sponsorship of the Twin Ports Juneteenth and Ujamaa Black Business Fair. Last year we sponsored. Chair Reder suggested $250-$300 sponsorship. Vice Chair Nikoi made MOTION to sponsor with $300. Commissioner Ali seconded motion. Carried to approve. Counselor Van Sickle requested a copy of the letter. Chair Reder will forward that email. 6. Future Agenda Items 7. Adjournment – Meeting adjourned at 6:12 PM.
