SUP2010c | “The Narrator” Scene Outline copy doc | 11/17/22
Music Option 1
Music Option 2
Scene Outline
Scene 1 – World of Wheels
The narrator, on skates and dressed in a brown corduroy suit, paisley-print shirt and
orange tie, approaches the camera while speaking but he can’t stop and skates right
out of the shot. In the background, we see the “Ref” skating under the disco ball,
perhaps doing a flip. We end the shot with the narrator at the hot dog counter, the
“Ref” is also in this scene taking his two-dollar bill.
● Sample lines:
○ Narrator – “Superior Wisconsin. Enjoy simple pleasures from an era
gone by. Like roller skating and two-dollar hot dogs.”
● Takeaway: Enjoy simple pleasure from an era gone by.
Scene 2 – Antiques on Belknap
Here, the Narrator is standing among the clutter in front of the check-out counter. We
can see the cashier in the background. The Narrator is holding a ship in a bottle (a
nod to Superior as a port city).
● Sample lines:
○ Narrator – “Find a unique collection of Superior’s rich cultural history at
any number of our shops and museums. Behind me is one of our local
historians, Fay.”
○ Cashier Fay, “Umm, I just work here.”
● Takeaway: Superior has a rich history which you can find in our antique
stores, shops, and museums.
Scene 3 – The Hammond
The narrator is sitting at the bar with a martini. Diners are sitting behind him for a
nice sit-down dinner. A mime makes their way into the background.
● Sample lines:
○ Narrator – “Experience diverse dining options, including a true
Wisconsin staple, the supper club.”

○ He holds up his martini and says “Cheers!”
● Takeaway: Superior offers a diverse mix of restaurants and food options.
Scene 4 – The Androy
We see the Narrator unlocking his hotel room.
● Closing line:
○ Narrator looks at the camera – “You never know what you’ll find in
Superior Wisconsin, but I guarantee you’ll have a good time.” (He winks
and there’s a cartoon sound effect. PING!)
● Takeaway: Stay in Superior for a good time.
END SLATE: Gotta be Superior Logo + “Book Your Stay” + Web Address
(Travel Superior Bug?)
Add Outtakes:
ie: Narrator walking with the sound of corduroy rubbing together. Mime on the street,
Narrator clipping on his orange tie, a guy holding chicken, Narrator in front of the Ma
Bell tower, etc.
