Ashley Wilson Rd, Sweeny, Texas AGENDA BE IT KNOWN that the City Council of the City of Sweeny will meet in Special Session on Friday, May 09, 2025 at 5:00 PM. at City Hall, 102 W. Ashley Wilson Rd, Sweeny, Texas with the following agenda. Council is conducted under modified Roberts Rules of Order as approved by Resolution 102-16; July 19, 2016. In accordance with Chapter §551 of the Texas Government Code, if required, the Council may conduct an executive session on any of the agenda items provided the City Attorney is present. Discussion and possible action to counterproposal for agreement from Benji's Animal Adoption Barn (BAAB) for proposed animal shelter and animal shelter services, up to and including rejection of any proposal and return of funds. 2. Presentation, discussion, and possible action of Windstorm Insurance renewal quotes for 2025- 2026. 3. Discussion and possible action to Resolution 25-102, for the submission of the Community Development Block Grant- Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) application, authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to act as the City's Executive Officer and Authorized Representative. 4. Discussion and possible action to Resolution 25-103, canvassing the Results of the General Election, May 03, 2025, declaring the candidates Mayor, Position Two (2), and Position Four (4) duly elected.
