Sustainable Maryland Committee Meeting Minutes February 5, 2024 Attendance Chiara Atoyebi Dorothy Estrada Melissa Klein Janet Owens Jeremy Schwartz Emanuel Wagner Sophia Yarrow Guest: James Wang The meeting was called to order at 7:05 pm. Adoption of the January 8, 2024 minutes was postponed until the next meeting. Discussion (1) The Committee gave introductions to Melissa Klein who participated as a new official member. (2) Revised draft presentations for the City Council February 7, 2024 meeting on proposed Sustainability Actions were delivered to the Committee for a second time in preparation for the February 7, 2024 City Council meeting a. Emanuel Wagner delivered an updated presentation on a proposal for installing fast EV chargers at multi-family buildings. b. Janet Owens delivered an updated presentation to the Committee on food waste management and composting. c. The Committee members provided feedback to incorporate in final drafts. The Committee adjourned at 8:30pm.
