CITY OF TALLMADGE BOARD OF CONTROL MEETING MINUTES March 9, 2023 7:30 p.m. Mayor’s Conference Room Members Present: Mayor David Kline, Finance Director Mollie Gilbride, Law Director Megan Raber, Director of Public Service Mike Rorar, President of Council Dennis Loughry Meeting Chaired By: Mayor David G. Kline Minutes: Tish Rowland Item 1: Call to Order and Approval of B.O.C. Minutes for February 27th meeting: Mayor Kline called the meeting to order at 8:46 p.m. Item 2: Adoption of Minutes: Mollie Gilbride moved to approve the Minutes of the February 27th B.O.C. meeting; seconded by Megan Raber. Vote to approve: 5/0. Item 3: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract through the State Purchasing Program for the Lease/Purchase of two Mack 5-ton dump trucks. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-33) Rorar: This is for the chassis of the two dump trucks. The snow and ice package will arrive later, and I’ll go back to Council with that part of it. Mayor Kline moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Loughry. Vote to approve: 5/0 Item 4: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with CemenTech, Inc. for the North Munroe Sidewalk Installation Program-2023. The base bid was $205,316.50. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-3) Rorar: We got five bids, all reasonable. CemenTech was the lowest bid and currently has concrete program bid so I don’t see any problems. This helps us because in that concrete bid their bid was higher than this bid for the same project. Gilbride: I have verified this is federal spending and they are not suspended or debarred, and they have certification for doing work for federal funds. Mike Rorar moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Loughry.
