CITY OF TALLMADGE BOARD OF CONTROL MEETING MINUTES February 27, 2023 9:30 a.m. Mayor’s Conference Room Members Present: Mayor David Kline, Finance Director Mollie Gilbride, Law Director Megan Raber, Director of Public Service Mike Rorar, President of Council Dennis Loughry Meeting Chaired By: Mayor David G. Kline Minutes: Tish Rowland Item 1: Call to Order and Approval of B.O.C. Minutes for February meeting: Mayor Kline called the meeting to order at 9:34 a.m. Item 2: Adoption of Minutes: Dennis Loughry moved to approve the minutes of the February 23rd B.O.C. meeting; seconded by Megan Raber. Vote to approve: 5/0. Item 3: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract through the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program for the Lease/Purchase of a fire engine for $916,865.00. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-37) Gilbride: To clarify we are taking the option to prepay so the amount is $889,838.50 as shown on page 4 of the contract. The contract is with Atlantic Emergency Solutions; Sourcewell is the cooperative we’re going through. The motion will be to enter into a contract with Atlantic Emergency Solutions for $889,838.50, to be financed through a bank lease. Mollie Gilbride moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Loughry. Discussion: Loughry: The Chief and Battalion Chief did a wonderful job explaining this decision. Mayor: It’s a great truck. The delivery time is a year out so I’m glad we’re pinning it down financially.
