CITY OF TALLMADGE BOARD OF CONTROL MEETING MINUTES April 13, 2023 7:30 p.m. Mayor’s Conference Room Members Present: Mayor David Kline, Finance Director Mollie Gilbride, Law Director Megan Raber, Director of Public Service Mike Rorar, President of Council Dennis Loughry Meeting Chaired By: Mayor David G. Kline Minutes: Tish Rowland Item 1: Call to Order and Approval of B.O.C. Minutes for the March 20th meeting: Mayor Kline called the meeting to order at 8:35 p.m. Item 2: Adoption of Minutes: Dennis Loughry moved to approve the Minutes of the March 20th B.O.C. meeting; seconded by Mike Rorar. Vote to approve: 5/0 Item 3: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Meyer Design, Inc. for Pour in Place Playground Safety Surfacing Memorial Park Playground-2023. The base bid was $134,600. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-31) Mike Rorar: Meyer Design did the Maca Pour in Place in 2020. They did nice work and it’s still holding up, no reason not to use them again. Megan Raber moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Loughry. Vote to approve: 5/0 Item 4: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of integrated security, software licenses and related equipment from Johnson Control, Inc. through Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing program. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-43) Megan Raber moved to approve; seconded by Dennis Loughry. Discussion: Loughry: Mollie you did an excellent job explaining this tonight. Gilbride: Thank you. This was in the budget.
