CITY OF TALLMADGE BOARD OF CONTROL MEETING MINUTES July 13, 2023 7:30 p.m. Council Chambers Members Present: Mayor David Kline, Law Director Megan Raber, Finance Director Mollie Gilbride, Director of Public Service Mike Rorar, President of Council Dennis Loughry Meeting Chaired By: Mayor David G. Kline Minutes: Tish Rowland Item 1: Call to Order and Approval of B.O.C. Minutes for the June 22nd meeting: Mayor Kline called the meeting to order at 8:29 p.m. Item 2: Adoption of Minutes: Rorar: There is one correction. On Item 3 the estimate was $78,000 not $82,000. Dennis Loughry moved to approve the amended Minutes of the June 22nd B.O.C. meeting; seconded by Megan Raber. Vote to approve: 5/0 Item 3: Consideration and Approval of Change Order #4 to Perrin Asphalt Company for final reconciliation of the purchase order. The total decrease will be $3450.00, bringing the new contract total to $99,229. (The original project was approved by Council in Ord. 2022-84) Discussion: Rorar: Our quantities were just a little higher than what they needed. Mayor Kline moved to approve; seconded by Megan Raber. Discussion: Gilbride: To clarify this was a reduction, but the total of all net change orders resulted in about a $300 increase from the original bid, which is good. Mayor: Yes, that’s pretty darn good. Vote to approve: 5/0 Item 4: Additional Items: Mayor Kline: Although Council adopted a number of items for Board of Control tonight, we will do that next week.
