CITY OF TALLMADGE BOARD OF CONTROL MEETING MINUTES July 19, 2023 9:30 a.m. Mayor’s Conference Room Members Present: Mayor David Kline, Assistant Law Director Melody Briand, Finance Director Mollie Gilbride, Director of Public Service Mike Rorar Absent: President of Council Dennis Loughry, Law Director Megan Raber Meeting Chaired By: Mayor David G. Kline Minutes: Tish Rowland Item 1: Call to Order and Approval of B.O.C. Minutes for the July 13th meeting: Mayor Kline called the meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. Item 2: Adoption of Minutes: Mike Rorar moved to adopt the Minutes of the July 13th B.O.C. meeting; seconded by Mollie Gilbride. Vote to approve: 4/0 Item 3: Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract through the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program for the Lease/Purchase of a Medic Unit for $75,000.00. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-66) Discussion: Gilbride: Point of Order, that is the estimated lease payment, the actual purchase price is $285,676.00. Mayor: And that was the ordinance adopted by Council? Gilbride: Yes, the full amount. We are using the Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program to purchase this from Atlantic Emergency Solutions. Mayor Kline moved to approve Item 3 as amended; seconded by Mike Rorar. Vote to approve: 4/0 Item 4: Authorizing the emergency repairs to the ladder section of Tower 1 by Atlantic Solutions for $67,000.00. (This is authorized in Ord. 2023-64) Gilbride: Correction, the contract is $66,701.60. Mayor Kline moved to amend the Agenda; seconded by Mollie Gilbride. Vote to approve amending the Agenda: 4/0 Mayor: I move to approve Item #4 as presented on the amended agenda; seconded by Mollie Gilbride.
