TALLMADGE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2013 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole Linda S. Poinar – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Poinar called the Council Committee meeting of 3-11-13 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Sarver, Mrs. Ray, Mrs. Kilway, Mr. Maguire, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Stalnaker and Mrs. Poinar – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Public Service Esler and Economic Developer Loughry. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: This is our Committee meeting where the six committees of Council will all meet and look at the legislation that is before them and discuss them and make recommendations for what we will do with it on Thursday. The second and fourth Thursday of every month is our Regular business meeting where we actually read our legislation into the record and vote on it, amend it, hold it over, etc. So tonight is our more casual meeting where we just look at it and make a recommendation and we don’t really vote on anything. So that is what we will be doing very shortly when we start our committee meetings. This is the meeting where we do encourage community input and so if anyone is here tonight to talk about a specific piece of legislation then I would ask that you wait until that piece of legislation comes up on the record and you would know that by the agenda. If you are here for any other miscellaneous reason that you want to address Council for any reason; now would be the time to step up to the podium. Is there anyone who would like to address Council at this time? No one responded. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: The only announcement is that, and I am sure all of Council knows; that this is the only meeting for the month of March. We will be taking our Spring Break for the fourth week of the month. COMMUNITY ISSUES/SAFETY Gene Stalnaker – Chair Carol Kilway – Vice Chair Kim Ray rd Ordinance 40-2013 At 3 Reading. ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Tallmadge Little League, Inc. for lease of Mack Burleson Field and providing for imme- diate enactment.
