TALLMADGE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2013 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole Robert D. Maguire – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Maguire called the Council Committee meeting of 11-11-13 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Stalnaker, Mr. Maguire, – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Administration Pascarella, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt, Dir. of Public Service Esler and Economic Developer Loughry. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pres. of Council: There are a couple of announcements. Number one, since we have the budget to go over tonight, we are going to move the Finance Committee to the last committee and so Public Utilities would go right after Planning & Zoning and then Personnel and then Finance unless anybody is opposed to that. Hearing none, we will move on. For the students; we are glad that you joined us tonight. City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month and the preceding Monday, except for this month; we only meet this week; you picked a very good night to come because we are going to go over the budget and so you are going to learn a lot about the City budget. The flipside is that this is going to be a rather lengthy meeting. Maybe you won’t be so glad you came! The City Council is divided into six different committees and so tonight we call this a Committee meeting and we will not vote on any legislation. We merely discuss and debate the legislation tonight and so that is why we are going to go over the budget tonight. Adopting a budget for various funds of the City nd GIVE 2 READING 3-0 of Tallmadge, Ohio, for current expenses and other expenditures during fiscal year ending WORK SESSION 11-11-13 December 31, 2014, appropriating the necessary funds for the administration thereof, authorizing transfers between funds, and providing for imme- diate enactment.
