COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2016 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole James M. Donovan – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Donovan called the Council Committee meeting of 6-6-16 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, and Mr. Donovan – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Gilbride and Economic Developer Weinberg. Mrs. Kilway, Ms. Tricaso, Mr. Stalnaker and Dir. of Pub. Service Esler were absent. COMMUNITY INPUT: Cindy Mandrell, Executive Director of the Community Outreach of Love (COOL) organization thanked the City of Tallmadge for their efforts on COOL DAY 2016 in Tallmadge (Danner & Peck Road area) held on Saturday, June 4. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: None. PLANNING & ZONING Craig Sisak – Chair Kim Ray – Vice Chair Carol Kilway Ordinance 45-2016 At 3rd Reading. AMEND Amending Ordinance 63-2015 approving and granting Give 2nd Reading 2-0 a conditional zoning certificate to owner/applicant Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 219 for use as offices and educational institution for Local Union 219 offices, union hall and apprentice training at 1655 Brittain Road. Ordinance 49-2016 At 3rd Reading. AMEND Amending and supplementing Ordinance 107-2005 Give 2nd Reading 2-0 approving and granting a conditional zoning certificate to applicant/owner K. Hovnanian Woodridge LLC for development of a 65-unit single-family detached planned residential development east of Dunbar Road and south of Eastwood Avenue. Give 3rd Reading 1-0 Establishing the number of employees by department and position pursuant to R.C. 731.08 and providing for immediate enactment. PUBLIC SERVICE Gene Stalnaker – Chair Carol Kilway – Vice Chair John Rensel Ordinance 50-2016 At 3rd Reading. ADOPT 1-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a new management agreement with the Ohio History Connection for the Tallmadge Church State Memorial and providing for immediate enactment.
