February 9, 2016 Registrar of Voters Board Meeting Attendees:  Bill Tranter, Chairman  Carol Welch  Roger Hoffmann Elizabeth Pottier was absent. Meeting called to order at 6:30pm Meeting minutes of January 14, 2016 was approved at the meeting by the Board, motion carried 3-0. New Business The Budget was the first order of business. The Board was amazed at how precise and meticulous the Budge Sheets had been prepared and wanted Lisa to realize what an excellent job she has done. Discussions were mainly aimed at the cost of the upcoming elections and the census, etc. At the March meeting we will again review the Budget. Carol Welch passed in her Certificate of Completion for the Conflict of Interest Law – online training program. A motion was carried 3-0 to interview and discuss the hiring of the new Head Clerk for the ROV Office, due to the untimely and abrupt retirement of Barbara Machnik. (Her title was Junior Clerk) The Board reviewed the resumes and interviewed Karen Andrade who presently holds a job in the ROV office and moved her up to the Head Clerk position. There will be notification of a part-time position opening in the ROV office as soon as possible. Other Business The Board agreed that it was time to order a new printer for the Registrar of Voters Office, as the old one is somewhat outdated. Next meeting will cover the Budget, consideration of hiring a part time clerk and any new business that arises. Next scheduled date is slated for Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. Motion to adjourn carried 3-0. Meeting concluded at 7:50pm
