March 15, 2016 Registrar of Voters Board Meeting Attendees:  Bill Tranter, Chairman  Carol Welch  Roger Hoffmann  Elizabeth Pottier Meeting called to order at 4:30pm Meeting minutes of February 9, 2016 approved at the meeting by the Board, motion carried 4-0. Vouchers approved – motion carried 4-0. New Business Part-time Clerk The Board discussed hiring from the candidates applied an internal staff member, Deborah Abbott. The Board agreed her qualification fit well with the needs of the office. The ROV Assistant to the Board will contact the HR head Maria Gomes to let her know the Board’s decision. Ms. Abbott will be notified by HR. Motion carried 4-0. Budget FY2017 The Board discussed potential changes for fiscal year 2017. Discussion included an increase for the AccuVote Machine contracts increase $450, Building department overtime per election totaling $8,500; hiring additional poll workers; public safety invoice projects of $36,000 for two elections, and postage for March of $7,767.86. Board approved changes – motion carried 4-0. Other Business Laser Printer The IT department provided the Board a cost projection for a new laser printer needed for the ROV office. The anticipated cost is $529.99. The Board originally budgeted $600 for FY16. The expense will be charged to FY16. Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Motion to adjourn carried 4-0. Meeting concluded at 5:30pm
