The meeting was called to order by Warren Offley, Chairperson at 6:40. Tom Clark made a motion to
accept the Minutes of the May 9, 2019 meeting as written, seconded by D. J. Martin and unanimously
voted.
OLD BUSINESS: Golf Course Sign has been fixed and Gil has submitted a bill for $1,164.20 for the
removal of the old sign, construction, painting and erection of new sign.
Warren reported that Rick Ames from the Building Department will review the requirements for the
repairs on the garage and his department will take care of fixing the problems.
Gil presented TMLP bills for 12-29-18 through 329-19 totaling $635.61 for reimbursement. He also
submitted a bill for $1,475.70 for oil to heat the club house . He was not awarded the contract until 3-
28-19 and only paid these bills as an agreement with the City so the building would not freeze and pipes
burst.
A motion was made by Warren and seconded by Tom Clark to reimburse Gil Alegi $3, 275.51 for bills
submitted and unanimously voted.
The Commissioners unanimously voted RFPs should go out to bid by August first for the expansion of the
golf course and management thereof. Jason Buffington should be made aware of this vote.
COMMUNICATIONS: Another Porta Potties Bill from United Site Services received dated 6-6-19 billing
for December 2018, January 2019, February 2019 and May 2019. Meme has paid the May bill. We are
leaving it up to legal.
Communications from City hall regarding Taunton Web page. Motion made by Warren and
seconded by Tom Clark to put agenda and minutes on the web page. Judy will do this. Tom
Bernier volunteered to take care of the web page itself. Tom and Judy will meet with the IT
Department to take care of this.
City of Taunton Office of the Mayor a reminder about Environmentally Preferable Procurement. Read
and filed.
NEW BUSINES: Judy reported that there is a City of Taunton web page for the golf course commission.
To access it type www.taunton-ma.gov send. Click on Boards & Commissions and a drop down menu
appears. Click on A-L, a list appears. Scroll down to Golf Commission and click on it. That is the web
page.
