Draft not approved by TRA TAUNTON REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES November 30, 2022 at 4 pm The National, 9 Taunton Green, Taunton Members Present: Ed Correira Chris Coute Jeff Pagliuca Manuel Spencer Members Absent: Larry Silvia William Roth, OECD/TRA Ex. Director, was also in attendance. Dennis Ackerman, Consultant to the TRA, was also in attendance. Call to Order at 4:00 pm: A quorum was present. Item number 1: Review and approve the minutes of October 26, 2022. Mr. Coute motioned to approve the minutes of October 26, 2022 and was seconded by Mr. Pagliuca. There were no corrections. Motion passed unanimously. Item number 2: Urban Renewal Plan Update: The biweekly meeting was canceled because of Thanksgiving, the new meeting will be 12/11/22. Item number 3: Update on Northeastern Students Reed and Barton Project. Mr. Correira reviewed the Northeastern Student final presentation on the Reed and Barton project which was held earlier today. The students did an excellent job, providing a lot of great ideas. They listened to the client and came up with some outside of the box ideas. It will be a good start for the owners to start the process of figuring out a long term vision. Item number 4: Update on Harvey Street Property Request. Discussion on when the request could get back on the City Council’s agenda for a presentation and the strategy the TRA should use when presenting the project. It was decided to request that the project be placed on the December 20, 2022 City Council Property Committee agenda. The development potential was discussed and it was the general consensus that based on wetlands and frontage requirements that two building lots and a larger conservation remainder lot was what could most likely be created. Mr. Roth indicated that he would prepare a Power Point presentation for the Authority to review in advance of the meeting. TRA – November 30, 2022 Meeting Minutes  Draft not approved by TRA Item number 5: Other Business Mr. Ackerman indicated that there was a Zoom meeting on 12/2/22 with the Northeastern Students and he would send out the Zoom link. Mr. Coute requested that updates on TDI, Whittenton Mills Property, and Bacon Felt Property be placed on the next agenda. Item number 5: - Next Meeting The next meeting will be January 25, 2022, at The National, 9 Taunton Green, Taunton, MA. Mr. Roth indicated that he would be out of Town at a conference and asked if Mr. Ackerman could take the minutes of the meeting. Mr. Ackerman agreed.
