TRA Minutes of Meeting Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 4pm I The National 9 Taunton Green Taunton L Members Present: Z Dennis Ackerman-Consultant to the TRA z Ed Correira cs-i -c Chris Coute Manuel Spencer Members Absent: - Larry Silvia Jeff Pagliuca Item #1 • Review & Approve minutes of November 30, 2022 • No December Meeting • Mr Coute motioned to approve the minutes of November 30, 2022 and was seconded by Mr Spencer; there were no corrections; Motion Passed unanimously Item #2 • Update on Urban Renewal Plan • Mr Correira & Mr Ackerman updated the progress of the bi-weekiy meeting with Stantec Urban Renewal Plan expected to be completed by end of April or early May; draft report to be scheduled with the citizen group in March 2023 ltem#3• - • Update on Northeastern Student Reed & Barton Project-Final presentation discussion • A PDF is available, and a hard copy report is in presentation Item #4 • Discuss submittal of a future Northeastern student project • The TRA will be submitting a project to Northeastern item #5 • Harvey Street property request • Next step with the city to get it deeded over  • TRA members discussed the need for Attorney Brennan to work with the city law office to transfer the property to the TRA • Mr Correira indicated that he will contact the City Procurement Officer for the means of advertisement for an engineer to survey the Harvey Street property. • Mr Coute volunteered the draft a scope of services for the advertisement of the engineer Item #6 • Discuss Mass Development Loan/Grant Programs • A lengthy discussion was held going over several programs • Mr Pagliuca sent an email listing website for Mass Development Loan/Grant Programs Item #7 • Other Business • Mr Ackerman brought up that council woman Borges had referred to the council committee on property the possibility of transferring the present Health Building on 45 - School St and the Fire Prevention Building located at 75 Oak St • Mr Ackerman brought forth that his contract expires on January 31, 2023 • After an executive session, in public meeting, properly voted to renew Mr Ackerman contact with adjustments • Mr Ackerman was not present at the executive session Item #8 • Next meeting date February 22, 2023 Item #9 • A motion made and seconded and approved to adjourn at 5:10pm
