TAUNTON REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING MiNUTES March 22, 2023 at 4 pm The National, 9 Taunton Green, Taunton Members Present: I .~. Ed Correira (BC), Christopher Coute (CC), Jeffrey Pagliuca (JF), Larry Silvia (LS) MembersAbsent: °‘ Manuel Spencer, Jim Howland (OECD) Others Present: Dennis Ackerman, Consultant Meeting called to order at 4:05. Item 1: • Review and approval of meeting minutes from February 22, 2023. Motion by CC to approve, Second by LS. There were no corrections. Motion passed. Item2: • Discussion on progress of the Urban Renewal plan took place. URP on schedule for June presentation to City Council. A Citizen review will take place in May. Item 3: • Reed & Barton owners are reviewing the Northeastern student report and will discuss their next steps on how to proceed. Item 4: • Northeastern students in the process of evaluating Poole Silver. A report from the students will be submitted in April. Item 5: • Harvey Street Land update, EC reported the City Solicitor office wants to wait to transfer the land to the TRA afler the engineering on the property is complete. The members agree that this is the best wat to handle the transfer. It was noted that the RFP for Engineering of Harvey Street is due no later than 2:00 PM on March 29, 2023 at 123 Broadway Street. Members were asked to attend the bid opening. Several firms have shown interest in bidding. Item 6: • MassDevelopment update, P stated that there are many programs available and the City should continue to apply for these programs. Item 7: • CC recommended that the next TRA meeting should be held on Tuesday April 25, 2023a at 2:00 PM. Stantec should make an updated progress report on the URP. It was suggested the next meeting be held via ZOOM, it was also suggested Jim Howland should assist in setting up the ZOOM meeting for next month.
