Taylor Borough Council Hearing July 25, 2019 The Taylor Borough Council held a Public Hearing on July 25, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Taylor Municipal Building, 122 Union Street, Taylor, Pennsylvania. On Roll Call, Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Tigue, No; Councilman Derenick, No; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Mayor Praschak, No. President Mickavicz chaired the meeting. First, the Chairman stated that the reason for this hearing was in regards to the presentation of related information regarding the transfer of a PLCB License No. R-15103 from Moosic, PA (via the PLCB Auction) to Aldo’s Pizzeria and Restaurant II, LLC, Taylor, PA. The presentation included: (1) Copy of Application for Liquor License Transfer; (2) Affidavit of Publication – Legal Notice of Hearing from the Scranton Times (7/10/19 and 7/17/19); (3) Photos of Hearing Notice Posting (3). Next, the Chairman asked everyone at the Hearing to please sign the sign-in sheet for the record. Solicitor Bill Jones gave a brief overview and explanation. Next, the Chairman asked for Public input on the request of Aldo’s Pizzeria and Restaurant II, LLC to transfer liquor license No. R-15103 from Moosic Borough, Pennsylvania (Obtained via PLCB Auction) to Aldo’s Pizzeria II, LLC, 1325 South Main Avenue, Suite 350, Taylor, Pennsylvania, 18504. Aldo’s Pizza Representative from Wetzel, Phillips, Rodgers, & Falcone handed out Aldo’s Employee Policy & Procedures for all members to read. He also gave a brief overview of Aldo’s business and hours of operation. Next, the Chairman explained there was a Council Meeting at 7:30 at which time the Council will vote on the transfer of a PLCB License No R- 15103 from Moosic, PA to Aldo’s Pizzeria Restaurant II, LLC, Taylor, PA. The Chairman entertained a motion to adjourn the Hearing. Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Digwood and seconded by Councilman McKeel. Evans, Borough Secretary  Taylor Borough Council Special Meeting July 25, 2019 The Taylor Borough Council held a Special Council Meeting on July 25, 2019 at 7:30 P.M. at the Taylor Municipal Building, 122 Union Street, Taylor, Pennsylvania. On Roll Call - Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Tigue, No; Councilman Derenick, No; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Mayor Praschak, No. President Mickavicz chaired the meeting. He asked if the public had any comment or input on any Agenda Items. There were none. Next, President Mickavicz entertained a Motion to adopt Resolution # 6 of 2019 approving transfer of Restaurant Liquor License R-15103 from Moosic Borough (obtained via PLCB Auction) to Aldo’s Pizzeria and Restaurant, 1325 South Main Avenue, Suite 350 (Pin # 15617050002) in the Borough of Taylor. Previous to this Special Meeting, there was a Public Hearing regarding the transfer at the Taylor Borough Building at 7:00 PM. This meeting is to consider the application of Liquor License Transfer. The Solicitor, Bill Jones gave a brief overview. No comment or input was made from the public. The Chairman entertained a motion to adopt Resolution # 6 of 2019. A Motion by Councilman Digwood and seconded by Councilman McKeel. A Roll Call was made - Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Resolution # 6 of 2019 was adopted. Next, President Mickavicz entertained a motion to adopt Resolution # 7 of 2019 amending prior Resolution No. 5 of 2019 regarding the transfer of PLCB License No. R-3103 (LID 62980). A Motion by Councilman McKeel and seconded by Councilman Fallon. A Roll Call was made – Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Resolution # 7 of 2019 was adopted amending prior Resolution No. 5 of 2019. Next, President Mickavicz entertained a motion to authorize the President of Council or the appropriate Borough Official to sign a renewal to the American Red Cross Shelter Agreement for the period 2019 to 2022 at the Taylor Community Center. A motion by Councilman McKeel and seconded by Councilman Fallon. A voice vote was called and all Council Members were in favor. The motion passed. Next, President Mickavicz entertained a motion to authorize the President of Council or the appropriate Borough Official to sign the PA Turnpike Plans for the Keyser Avenue Ramp Project and Traffic Signal Modifications. A Motion by Councilman McKeel and seconded by Councilman Fallon. A voice vote was called and all Council Members were in favor. The motion passed.
