Special Meeting

MINUTES FOR THE SPECIAL MEETING MAY 14, 2024 OF THE TISKILWA VILLAGE BOARD The Tiskilwa Village Board held a Special Meeting at 6:00 P. M. on May 14, 2024 at the Tiskilwa Fire Station. Answering roll call were Mayor Michael Murray, Trustees Daniel Acker, James Cole, Daniel Yepsen, Brett Klinefelter and John Funderberg. Absent was Trustee Amy Kline. There were two from the public to observe. Our Village Engineer Jack Kusek was present. The purpose of the meeting was to go over the dam assessments for the Village and discuss plans forward and actions that need to be taken with 4 representatives from NRCS. The dam assessment was completed in 2023. All 4 dams did not meet compliance with the State of Illinois and NRCS dam safety standard. Each dam needs to be brought up to regulations and standards and plans forward were discussed on how to do so. Dam #1 was deemed to be the worst dam with the highest risk of breach and failure. Due to this the Village will discuss further actions with the NRCS on actions and plans needed to be done on this dam. Trustee Klinefelter made a motion to adjourn at 6:45 P.
