MINUTES FOR THE FEBRUARY 13, 2024 TISKILWA VILLAGE BOARD MEETING The Tiskilwa Village Board held its regular meeting on February 13, 2024 at the Tiskilwa Fire Station. Answering roll call were Mayor Michael Murray, Trustees Daniel Acker, Amy Kline, James Cole, Daniel Yepsen, Brett Klinefelter and John Funderberg. The Agenda with one addition was approved. Trustee Yepsen made a motion to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2024 meeting, seconded by Trustee Funderberg. All ayes. Trustee Klinefelter made a motion to approve payment of bills totaling $106,320.58, seconded by Trustee Cole. All ayes on a roll call vote. Trustee Funderberg made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report seconded by Trustee Kline. All ayes. Village Supervisor Report: Rick Funderberg gave the monthy report as lift station problems in January with an electric wire on the float needing replaced. The shop heater needed repaired and Albrecht working on the well issue. He thanked Trustee Cole for observing the employees at one of the lift station problems. Public Comment: Mayor Murray stated the website showed complaints about snow plowing, a question on solar panel permits and BCR alerts comment. Reports: Village Engineer: Mayor Murray received updates from Village Engineer Jack Kusek on the Pedestrian Bridge bids, water main hydrant replacements, the West Park plans will be reviewed at the March meeting, Water Tower Grant goal is to make announcements in June and the Dam assessment reports have been approved. Trustee Klinefelter gave the water report as 730,000 gallons of water used, $7,376.08 amount of water billed and $3,832.50 amount of sewer billed. The Police report showed 0 traffic stops, 52 security checks, 5 ordinance violations delivered and 25.2 Police hours worked. Old Business: Ordinance 10-2- Chickens- The Ordinance will be presented at the next meeting to be voted on. Ordinance 17-3- Creek Maintenance- will be presented at the next meeting to be voted on. 4-2 Mobile Food & Beverage Vendors- to be discussed for changes at the next meeting. Village Vehicles: Discussed further at the next meeting. New Business: Village Generators: Trustee Klinefelter researched and presented quotes for yearly preventative maintenance measures on the 3 village generators. He discussed that the large generator at the waste water treatment plant is outdated and the company cannot adequately perform work on it and he received a quote for a new generator to be installed. The board discussed the issues and decided further details on past work and maintenance on them needs to be performed before moving forward and will be discussed at the next months meeting. Arch Street Pedestrian Bridge: Trustee Funderberg made a motion to approve a bid by Art Thureson, Inc. for $31,700 for a Steel Truss Bridge for the Arch Street Pedestrian Bridge, seconded by Trustee Acker. All ayes on a roll call vote. Village Water Meters: Mayor Murray discussed information on new water meters and costs.
