MINUTES FOR THE MARCH 12, 2024 TISKILWA VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
The Tiskilwa Village Board held its regular meeting on March 12, 2024 at the Tiskilwa Fire Station.
Answering roll call were Mayor Michael Murray, Trustees Daniel Acker, Amy Kline, James Cole, Brett
Klinefelter and John Funderberg. Trustee Daniel Yepsen was absent. The Agenda with one correction
was approved. Trustee Kline made a motion to approve the minutes from the February13th meeting,
seconded by Trustee Cole. All ayes. Trustee Kline made a motion to approve payment of bills totaling
$41,876.69, seconded by Trustee Funderberg. All ayes on a roll call vote. Trustee Klinefelter made a
motion to approve the treasurer’s report seconded by Trustee Funderberg. All ayes.
Public Comment: Six citizens were present with concerns about dog attacks and another about a liquor
license request.
Reports: Mayor Murray received updates from Village Engineer Jack Kusek who was unable to attend
due to health issues. Jack reported that five water main and hydrant project bids came in and if the 4
hydrant replacements were omitted, the amount would be very close to the grant amount. Trustee Acker
made a motion to accept the bid from Ossola Construction for the water main extension, omitting the 4
hyrant replacements, for $49,085.00, seconded by Trustee Kline. All ayes on a roll call vote. He
reported the grant for the 4 bridges is still being processed at the State. Jack will be attending a zoom
meeting on March 28 with FEMA for a Risk Map Flood Map review. He plans on being at the April
board meeting to discuss further the results from the Dam Assessment results.
Trustees reports: Trustee Klinefelter gave the water report as 709,300 gallons of water used, $8,942.00
amount of water billed and $5,885.00 amount of sewer billed.
Trustee Klinefelter received two complaints about water meters not being read.
Trustee Acker stated Twiggy’s donated 5 trees.
Mayor Murray gave the online water payments total from HeyGov Pay for February being $3,569.28.

Ordinances:
1. 10-2 Chickens-Trustee Klinefelter made a motion to approve Ordinance # 0-1-24-3-12 to Establish
the Regulation of Backyard Chickens, seconded by Trustee Funderberg. All ayes on a roll call vote.
2.17-3 Creek Maintenance- Trustee Klinefelter made a motion to approve Ordinance 0-2-24-3-12 to
Establish the Regulation of Creek Maintenance, seconded by Trustee Kline. All ayes on a roll call vote.
Water Meters: Mayor Murray will be attending a meeting next week with more information on new
meters. He has obtained information on 4 companies already.
New Business:
Dam Assessment Review: Our Village Engineer will be at the April board meeting to go over the dam
assessment results.
There being no further business, Trustee Klinefelter made a motion to adjourn.
