MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS
MONDAY, MAY 3, 2010
6:00 P.M.
1.0 Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fagan. Other members present were:
Councilman Stoll
Councilman Webb
Councilman Townsend
Councilman Driver
Councilman Quinn
Others present:
Interim City Manager – Christal Kliewer
City Secretary – Doris Speer
Director of Engineering & Planning – Mark McClure
Fire Chief – Randy Parr
Assistant to City Manager – Shawn Cox
2.0 Workshop Session:
2.1 The City Council entered into a Workshop Session to consider the following:
Discussion regarding the Klein Independent School District’s request for the
Extension of Utility Services.
Mark McClure provided an overview of KISD’s request for the extension of
utility services to the planned development. Ed Shackelford and Robert
Robertson, representing Klein Independent School District, presented information
regarding KISD’s development considerations.

KISD and City staff will bring proposal back to Council, including potential
additional ETJ, protection of emergency services, and extension of utility
services; City staff will work with KISD as needed.
Councilman Townsend requested that the original alignment of Medical Complex
be used in preparing the proposal.
3.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Quinn, to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously.

Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on Monday,
May 3, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of
considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. The Tomball City
Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any agenda
item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of
the Texas Government Code.
