MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS
THURSDAY, MAY 7, 2010
4:00 P.M.
1.0 Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fagan. Other members present were:
Councilman Quinn
Councilman Stoll
Councilman Webb
Councilman Townsend
Councilman Driver
Others present:
Interim City Manager – Christal Kliewer
City Secretary – Doris Speer
2.0 New Business
2.1 EXECUTIVE SESSION: The City Council recessed at 4:01 p.m. to meet in
Executive Session, as Authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551 of the Government
Code (the Texas Open Meetings Act), for the Following Purposes:
● Section 551.074 – Personnel Matters – To Deliberate the Hiring/Employment,
Duties and Responsibilities of a City Manager
● Section 551.074 – Personnel Matters – To Deliberate the Hiring/Employment,
Duties and Responsibilities of a Municipal Court Judge
Upon reconvening into open session at 5:15 p.m., no action was taken.
2.2 Appoint City Manager and Authorize the Mayor to Execute and the City Secretary to
Attest an Employment Agreement with the City Manager Candidate.
No action taken.

3.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Driver, to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned.

Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on Friday,
May 7, 2010 at 4:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of
considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. The Tomball City
Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any agenda
item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of
the Texas Government Code.
