MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2014 5:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Fagan. Other members present were: Councilman Hudgens Councilman Stoll Councilman Degges Councilman Townsend Councilman Klein Quinn Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford Assistant City Manager/Police Chief – Robert Hauck City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Scott Bounds Fire Chief – Randy Parr Marketing Director – Mike Baxter Director of Public Works – David Kauffman City Engineer – Lori Lakatos 2.0 The following Public Comments were received: Mary Harvey - Expressed her support for downtown sidewalks 405 S. Walnut, 77375 Rodney Hutson - Expressed his support for downtown sidewalks. 9431 Rosie Lane, 77354 3.0 New Business: 3.1 The Tomball City Council entered into a Workshop Session regarding Downtown Sidewalks and Enhancements to the Four Corners Intersection. Minutes Special City Council Meeting June 16, 2014 Page 2 of 2 Information was provided to Council by George Shackelford and Lori Lakatos concerning various options regarding downtown sidewalks and proposed enhancements from the Four Corners intersection to the railroad tracks. Per Council input and direction, City staff will begin the process of working with H-GAC and TxDot to implement a “portion” of the City’s FM 2920 Access Management Study, which was adopted by Resolution 2009-33 and seek grant funding through H-GAC and TxDOT. 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Hudgens, second by Councilman Stoll, to adjourn. Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. The Tomball City Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code. 1.0 Call to Order 2.0 Public Comments and Receipt of Petitions (At this time, anyone will be allowed to speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for length of time not to exceed three minutes.
