MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2015 7:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Fagan. Other members present: Councilman Hudgens Councilman Stoll Councilman Townsend Members absent: Councilman Degges – Excused Councilman Klein Quinn - Excused Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Loren Smith Fire Chief – Randy Parr 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Motion was made by Councilman Stoll, second by Councilman Townsend, to read Ordinance No. 2015-09, by caption only, on First Reading. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adopt, on First Reading, Ordinance No. 2015-09, an Ordinance Annexing to the City of Tomball, Texas, for Limited Purposes, a Certain Area Located within Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 273 (the “District”), in Harris County, Texas; Containing Findings and Other Provisions Related Thereto; Imposing the Sales and Use Tax of the City of Tomball in the Area within the District Annexed for Limited Purposes; and Providing for Severability.
