MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2015 5:30 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Fagan. Other members present: Councilman Townsend Councilman Klein Quinn Councilman Hudgens Councilman Stoll Members absent: Councilman Degges – Excused Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Loren Smith Fire Chief – Randy Parr City Engineer – Lori Lakatos 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Mayor Fagan opened the Public Hearing regarding a Proposed STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT between the City of Tomball, Texas and Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 273 at 5:32 p.m. Receiving no public comments, Mayor Fagan closed the Public Hearing at 5:32 p.m. The City Council recessed at 5:32 p.m. to meet in Executive Session as Authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, Government Code, the Texas Open Meetings Act, for the Following Purpose(s):  Sec. 551.071 – Private Consultation with Attorney in Closed Meeting regarding a Matter that the Duty of the Attorney Requires be Held in Closed Session. Upon reconvening into the special meeting at 6:03 p.m., the following action was taken: Agenda Special City Council Meeting May 6, 2015 Page 2 of 2 3.2 Motion was made by Councilman Stoll, second by Councilman Townsend, to approve a Strategic Partnership Agreement between Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 273 and the City of Tomball for Property Consisting of 153.0194 Acres at the Southwest Corner of State Highway 249 and the Grand Parkway. Motion to AMEND was made by Councilman Stoll, second by Councilman Townsend, to approve a Strategic Partnership Agreement between Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 273 and the City of Tomball for Property Consisting of 153.0194 Acres at the Southwest Corner of State Highway 249 and the Grand Parkway, by amending the Strategic Partnership Agreement to strike the last sentence of Article 3.02. Payment of Sales and Use Tax to the District, Section D, from the Strategic Partnership Agreement. Motion, as AMENDED, carried unanimously. 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned.
