MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2015 5:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Fagan. Other members present: Councilman Hudgens Councilman Degges Councilman Townsend Members absent: Councilman Stoll - Excused Councilman Lori Klein Quinn - Excused Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford City Secretary – Doris Speer Finance Director – Glenn Windsor Public Works Director – David Esquivel Director of Community Development – Craig Meyers City Engineer – Lori Lakatos 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Hudgens, to adopt $0.111455 as the Portion of the Tax Rate to Fund the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Fund for Fiscal Year 2015-2016. Motion carried unanimously. Minutes Special City Council Meeting September 28, 2015 Page 2 of 2 3.2 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Hudgens, to adopt $0.230000 as the Portion of the Tax Rate to Fund the Interest and Sinking (Debt Service) Fund for Fiscal Year 2015-2016. Motion carried unanimously. 3.3 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Hudgens, to read Ordinance No. 2015-18 by caption only on first reading. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Hudgens, to adopt, on First Reading, Ordinance No. 2015-18, an Ordinance of the City of Tomball, Texas, Setting the Total Tax Levy of $0.341455/$100 of taxable value for the Year 2015 on all Real and Personal Property located in the City of Tomball, Texas; Providing for Penalty, Interest, and Additional Penalty on Taxes Not Timely Paid; and Providing Other Matters Relating to the Subject. Vote was as follows: Councilman Hudgens Aye Councilman Stoll Absent Councilman Degges _Aye Councilman Townsend Aye Councilman Klein Quinn Absent Motion carried unanimously. 3.4 Mayor Fagan Announced that the Final Vote on the Proposed 2015 Tax Rate will be held at the Regular City Council Meeting on October 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. No action was taken 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Hudgens to adjourn. Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 5:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
