MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2018

1.0 Call to Order
Meeting was called to order at 2:30 p.m. by Mayor Fagan. Other members present:
Councilman Ford
Councilman Stoll
Councilman Degges
Councilman Townsend
Councilman Klein Quinn
Others present:
City Manager – George Shackelford
Assistant City Manager – Rob Hauck
City Secretary – Doris Speer
City Attorney – Loren Smith
Fire Chief – Randy Parr

2.0 New Business:
2.1 Executive Session: The City Council recessed at 2:30 p.m. to meet in Executive Session
as Authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, Government Code, the Texas Open Meetings Act,
for the Following Purpose(s):
● Sec. 551.074 - Personnel Matters: Deliberation of the Appointment, Employment,
and Duties of a Public Officer or Employee – City Manager
Upon reconvening into special session at 2:36 p.m., the following action was taken:
2.2 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll to Appoint
Robert Hauck as City Manager and Authorize the Mayor to Execute and the City Secretary
to Attest an Employment Agreement, with Amendments, with Robert Hauck.
Motion carried unanimously.

3.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned.

Notice is hereby given of a SPECIAL meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on FRIDAY,
MARCH 9, 2018 at 2:30 P.M., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose
of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. The Tomball
City Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any
agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter
551, of the Texas Government Code.
