NOTICE OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 5:30 P.M. 1.0 Meeting was called to order by Mayor Fagan at 5:30pm. Other members present were: Councilman Ford Councilman Degges Councilman Stoll Councilman Townsend Members absent: Councilman Klein Quinn– Excused Others present: City Manager – Robert Hauck Assistant City Manager – David Esquivel Assistant City Secretary – Tracylynn Garcia Fire Chief-Randy Parr Finance Director-Glen Windsor Warrant Officer/Bailiff – Ron McGullion 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adopt $0.230000 as the Portion of the Tax Rate to Fund the Interest and Sinking (Debt Service) Fund for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. Motion carried unanimously. 3.2 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adopt $0.111455 as the Portion of the Tax Rate to Fund the Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Fund for Fiscal Year 2019-2020. Motion carried unanimously. Minutes Special City Council Meeting September 30, 2019 Page 2 of 2 3.3 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to read Ordinance No. 2019-21 by caption only on First Reading. Motion carried unanimously. Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to read Ordinance No. 2019-21 to adopt, on First Reading, Ordinance No. 2019-21, an Ordinance of the City of Tomball, Texas, Setting the Tax Levy of $0.341455/$100 Value Assessed for the Year 2019 on All Taxable Real and Personal Property Located in the City of Tomball, Texas; Providing for Penalty, Interest, and Additional Penalty on Taxes Not Timely Paid; and Providing Other Matters Relating to the Subject. Vote was as follows: Councilman Ford Aye Councilman Stoll Aye Councilman Degges Aye Councilman Townsend Aye Councilman Klein Quinn Absent Motion carried unanimously. 3.4 Mayor Fagan announced that the Date for the Final Vote on the 2019 Tax Rate will be held at the Regular City Council Meeting on October 7, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. No action necessary. 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Stoll, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 7th day of October 2019.
