Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the Tomball City Council, to be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 6:00 P.M., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. The Tomball City Council reserves the right to meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code. FIRST AND FINAL READING: Consideration of and action on Ordinance No. 2026-07, an Ordinance of the City of Tomball, Texas calling a Special Election to be held on May 2, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the voters propositions to amend the City of Tomball Charter regarding: (a) amending section 6.13 to change quorum requirements; (b) amending sections 7.10 and 7.11 to update which department has the responsibility for engineering; (c) amending section 6.14 to reduce the number of required readings of ordinances to one; (d) amending sections 7.02, 7.03, 7.04, 7.05, 7.06, 7.10, and 7.11 to remove the appointment language for each department head; providing for ballots; designating the time and place for holding such elections; providing for notices; providing for publication; providing for severability; and, providing an effective date.
