TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS

1.0 Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Chair Holly Cook. Other Committee members present were:

2.0 No Public Comments were received.
3.0 Motion was made by Jeffie Cappadonna, second by Rodney Hutson, to approve the minutes of
the Special February 28, 2011 Tourism Advisory Committee meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
4.0 New Business:

4.1 Discussion was held to consider recommendations to Council regarding the FY 2011-
2012 Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Budget. Motion was made by Jeffie Cappadonna,
second by Mary Harvey, to recommend that Council increase the designated funds for
Tomball Sister City from $20,000 to $40,000-$50,000, increase the designated funds for
holiday Fireworks from $23,000 to $30,000, and leave the designated Grants pool funds
at $150,000, based on requests and events completed in FY 2010-2011.
Motion carried unanimously.
4.0 Motion was made by Mary Harvey, second by Jeffie Cappadonna, to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously.

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the City of Tomball Tourism Advisory Committee, to be
held on THURSDAY, April 28, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas
77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to
action. The Tourism Advisory Committee reserves the right to meet in a closed session for
consultation with attorney on any agenda item should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to
authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.
1.0 Call to Order
2.0 Public Comments and Receipt of Petitions (At this time, anyone will be allowed to speak on any
matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for length of time not to exceed
three minutes. No Commission discussion or action may take place on a matter until such matter
has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law.)
3.0 Approve the Minutes of the February 28, 2011 Special Tourism Advisory Committee Meeting
4.0 New Business:
4.1 Discussion and Possible Recommendations to Council regarding the FY 2011-12 HOT
Fund Budget
