TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2018
5:00 P.M.
1.0 The meeting was called to order by Chair Holly Cook. Other Committee members present
were:

2.0 No Public Comments received.
3.0 Motion was made by Jeffie Cappadona, second by Paige Cassel to approve the minutes of the
October 24, 2017 Regular Tourism Advisory Committee Meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
4.0 New Business:
4.1 Motion was made by Mary Harvey, second by Stephen Hughes, to approve request by
The Houston Repertoire Ballet (HRB) for Financial Support for Eight Performances
and Two Dress Rehearsals of "The Nutcracker" Ballet, to be held December 7-9,
2018 at the Tomball High School Theatre, for $15,500.00.
Motion carried unanimously.

4.2 Motion was made by Stephen Hughes, second by Jeffie Cappadona, to approve
Tomball Sister City Organization request for support, funding and road closures, in
the amount of $160,000.00 for the December 7-9, 2018 and March 29- 31, 2019
events.
Motion carried unanimously.
4.3 Motion was made by Jeffie Cappadona, second by Stephen Hughes to approve Spring
Creek County Historical Association Request for $30,000.00 for Fiscal 2018-2019
Annual Operations.
Motion carried unanimously.
6.0 Motion was made by Jeffie Cappadona second by Stephen Hughes, to adjourn.
Motion carried unanimously.
Meeting adjourned at 5:36 pm.

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the City of Tomball Tourism Advisory Committee,
to be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 5:00 P.M., City Hall, 401 Market Street,
Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items. All
agenda items are subject to action. The Tourism Advisory Committee reserves the right to
meet in a closed session for consultation with attorney on any agenda item should the need
arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas
Government Code.
1.0 Call to Order
2.0 Public Comments and Receipt of Petitions [At this time, anyone will be allowed to speak
on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for length of time
not to exceed three minutes. No Council/Board discussion or action may take place on a
matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with
law.]
3.0 Approve the minutes of the October 24, 2017 Regular Tourism Advisory Committee
Meeting.
4.0 New Business:
