MINUTES TOWN COUNCIL MEETING March 25, 2019 The Town Council meeting was called to order by Ron Troyer at 4:00 p.m. March 25, 2019 with the following persons present: Ron Troyer Ray Folk Carl Stoltz Jeff Carlisle Pete Kaufman Stewart Bender Naomi Miller Rick Pharis Marjorie Thompson Cyndi Sadewasser Murnina Abduiahhmanewa Mike Maggart Robert Dahmar Drew Snodderly Tom (Unable to read last name) Adam Lambright Minutes Carl moved that the minutes for the last council meeting be approved. Pete seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Clerk-Treasurer The board approved the claims as read. Pete made the motion, Jeff seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Town Manager The bid opening for the 2018 Community Crossing Road Improvement Project commenced. Rick with Triad Engineers opened the bids. Engineers estimated total includes base and alternate, $1,253,670. • Niblock has a base for $774,735; alternate is $78,891 • API has a base for $858,220.90; alternate is $110,472.40 • Reith Riley has a base for $881,108.94; alternate is $124,743.23 Awarding the project will be proclaimed at the next Town Council Meeting, April 8, 2019. Stewart updated the council on the West Park fountain. It has been ordered without the colored lights due to cost. Attorney Stewart recommended to the Town Attorney to update a previous ordinance pertaining to a private sewer system maintaining two homes. Letting this cost fall on the resident to connect to the town septic system. The council agreed to the update to be presented at the next Town Council Meeting.  Next Meeting The next Town Council meeting will be held at Topeka Town Hall on April 8, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. There being no other business to be brought before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 4:18 pm.
