Approved by the Board of Public Safety September 6, 2023 MINUTES Vote: Unanimous Vol. 7, Page 590 BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY SPECIAL MEETING CITY HALL AUDITORIUM / ZOOM July 31, 2023 A SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, July 31, 2023. Present at City Hall were Mayor Elinor Carbone and Board of Safety Commissioners Glenn McLeod, Doug Benedetto, Molly Spino, and Joe McElroy. Police Chief William Baldwin and Deputy Police Chief Bart Barown were also present. Deputy Fire Chief David Tripp joined via Zoom. Commissioners Darlene Battle and Gregg Cogswell were absent Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance. Executive Session: Personnel Promotions On a motion by Commissioner Spino, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter Executive Session at 6:02 p.m. pursuant to C.G.S. §1-200(6)(a) regarding personnel promotions, inviting Police Chief Baldwin and Deputy Police Chief Barown to attend. Open Session On a motion by Commissioner Benedetto, seconded by Commissioner McLeod, the Board voted unanimously to enter Open Session at 6:44 p.m. Adjournment On a motion by Commissioner Spino, seconded by Commissioner Benedetto, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 6:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted by ATTEST: Heather Abraham, Asst.
