The Open Public Meetings Act was announced and a quorum was verified. Mr. McGill swore in Mr. Randy Baum and Mr. Santora for their new terms. Mr. Baum’s term will end 12/31/28 and Mr. Santora’s term will end on 12/31/25. The applicant intends to construct a new school on the newly created lots. Mr. McGill updated the Board that this application is for a sub-division for conforming lots and the planned project is able to be built as a matter of right. He clarified for the Board the extent of their required review. Mr. Shonti Tager, Esq. for the applicant introduced the project. Mr. Perry Lattiboudere was sworn in and summarized the project. He is outside counsel to the Trenton School District. He noted that there is a large school-age population in South Trenton that projects a 15% increase in enrollment in the next 5 years, resulting in the need for a new school. He noted that Grace Dunn Middle School will remain a school for 7th and 8th grade students. Mr. Keith Ludwig, Professional Surveyor, was sworn in. He presented his credentials and was accepted as an expert before this Board. He described the property under consideration. He reviewed the comments from the Board’s professional’s memo. He noted that notice was not provided as it is not required and there is no proposed project at this time. He stipulated that they would comply with all filing laws. However, there has not been a Map Filing law for 12 years so they will not be filing the recommended application. The map Is consistent with the new Tax Map law. They affirmed with the oversight authority that their map is consistent with all requirements. Mr. Joseph Gray, of Bright View Engineering was sworn in and confirmed that the Applicant has answered all of the outstanding questions and he is satisfied with the application. Mr. Tager noted that they are subdividing the lot to meet a requirement of one of the agencies that is involved with the overall project. Ms. Lisa Seriessyol, Senior Planner of Transportation for the City of Trenton, was sworn in. She asked where the greenspace will be now that the sports field is being used for the proposed new school. The Applicant indicated that the existing greenspace will be smaller and there will be indoor athletic facilities to assist with recreation.
