Gales Clerk of Council Kara B. Landis City Council Meeting Minutes January 26, 2021 I. Call to Order Mayor McDonald called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m. II. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor McDonald led the Pledge of Allegiance. III. Roll Call: Clerk of Council Clerk Landis stated that Councilwoman Gales advised Council that she was unavailable for this meeting and her absence is Excused. Clerk Landis took Roll Call and further advised that Councilman Vaughn called and is on his way. Councilman Vaughn arrived at approximately 4:40 p.m., prior to the start of Executive Session. Present: 6 - Mayor Mary A. McDonald, Councilmember Charles Ron Vaughn, Councilmember Rhonda C. Finley, Councilmember Robert L. Kelley Jr., Councilmember Yvette Page and Vice Mayor Tyna R. Brown Excused: 1 - Councilmember Bettye L. Gales Staff Members Present: Law Director Steve McHugh, City Manager Quincy Pope, Clerk of Council Kara Landis, and Deputy City Manager Stephanie Kellum. IV. Motion to Approve the Agenda Mayor McDonald requested a Motion on this item. A Motion was made by Councilmember Kelley, Jr., seconded by Councilmember Page, to Approve the Agenda. The Motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Mayor McDonald, Councilmember Vaughn, Councilmember Finley, Councilmember Kelley Jr., Councilmember Page and Vice Mayor Brown Excused: 1- Councilmember Gales V. Motion to Enter into Executive Session Law Director McHugh clarified for the record that the Executive Session pursuant to Section 121.22(G)(3) of the Ohio Revised Code is to discuss pending litigation. Mayor McDonald requested a Motion on this item. A Motion was made by Councilmember Page, seconded by Councilmember Kelley, Jr., to move into Executive Session pursuant to Section 121.22(G)(3) of the Ohio Revised Code to discuss pending litigation. The Motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Mayor McDonald, Councilmember Vaughn, Councilmember Finley, Councilmember Kelley Jr., Councilmember Page and Vice Mayor Brown Excused: 1- Councilmember Gales City of Trotwood Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes January 26, 2021 SR21-07 The Trotwood City Council will move into Executive Session pursuant to Section 121.22(G)(3) of the Ohio Revised Code. VI. Motion to Adjourn the Executive Session Mayor McDonald requested a Motion on this item. A Motion was made by Councilmember Kelley, Jr., seconded by Vice Mayor Brown, to Adjourn the Executive Session.
