Minutes of the Planning and Economic Development Committee Meeting Troy City Council Tuesday, September 20, 2016 5:00 pm The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Committee Chairman Dean Bodnar. Roll Call: Committee Member Present: Chairman Dean Bodnar, Committee Members McGrath, Ashe-McPherson, Gulli, Corporation Glasheen, and Steve Strichman. Committee Member Kopka was absent. Also in attendance were: Cheryl Kennedy, Council President Mantello and Deputy Mayor Monica Kurzejeski. Chairman Bodnar noted that the purpose of the meeting was to review the following: 1) Pending Economic Development Activity 2) Citywide Project Updates Cheryl Kennedy, Economic Development Coordinator presented the committee members with an overview of business owners, investors, realtors, and developers exploring properties in Troy. She also presented the committee with citywide updates for the following: Marriott 433 River Street (pilot extension) 547 River Street (pilot extension) Tapestry 699 River Street (64 rooms) Record Building -501 Broadway (100 rooms) DeFazio’s relocation to the former Vanilla Bean Tru Hotel – 1610 Sixth Ave. (98 rooms) Troy Innovation Garage - Gramercy has moved into the facility Adjournment Motion to Adjourn: Ashe-McPherson, 2nd McGrath Meeting adjourned – 6:02 p.m.
