Minutes of the General Service Committee Troy City Council August 22, 2017 5:00 pm The Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by Committee Chair Gulli Roll Call: The roll being called the following committee members answered to their names: Committee Chair Gulli, Council Member McGrath, Council Member Bodnar, Deputy Mayor Kurzejeski, and Director of Parks and Recreation George Rogers. Council Member Donohue arrived at 5:25 pm. Absent: Council Member Doherty Also in attendance were Council President Mantello, Council Member Ashe-McPherson, Kevin Graber and Paul Carroll. Committee Chair Gulli opened the meeting and asked Paul Carroll for an update on the paving projects. Paul Carroll stated they are on Burdett and Sherry and will move to Lansingburgh after National Grid finishes the gas lines. It was also noted that Gurley Avenue was started yesterday. Council Member Ashe-McPherson asked who is patching in front of the Sunset (124th and 125th) as it’s a big dip. Paul Carroll said he will check on it and further explained that this temporary. Council Member Ashe- McPherson asked for signage. Committee Chair Gulli stated that he has seen major improvements at the golf course and that he checks on the golf course three times per week. George Rogers explained that they have brought in specialist who is addressing and correcting the problems. Currently this is a part-time position and it will become full time under the title of Superintendent. Committee Chair Gulli stated that we have to invest in the course as it will generate revenue.
