MINUTES COMMITTEE ON AGING 12 NOON WEDNESDAY, February 20, 2019 TULARE SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTER, 201 NORTH “F” STREET STAFF BREAK ROOM MISSION STATEMENT TO PROMOTE A COMMUNITY MAKING TULARE THE MOST DESIRABLE PLACE TO LIVE, LEARN, PLAY, WORK, WORSHIP AND PROSPER I. CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Committee on Aging was called to order at 12:05 p.m. by Albert Lemus at the Tulare Senior Community Center, Bill Thompson Room. MEMBERS PRESENT: Albert Lemus, Jackie Zupp, and Kathy Perryman and Priscilla Musgrove MEMBERS ABSENT: Priscilla Musgrove and Pam Malloy STAFF PRESENT: Lorraine Zorn GUESTS: None. II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The flag salute conducted. III. CITIZEN COMMENTS – None. IV. COMMUNICATIONS - None. V. CONSENT CALENDAR (1) The minutes of February 20, 2019 were M/S/P by Priscilla Musgrove and Pam Malloy and unanimousl approved. VI. SCHEDULED CITIZEN OR GROUP PRESENTATIONS – None. VII. GENERAL BUSINESS a. NUTRITION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn passed out the October thru December 2018 and January 2019 reports. b. RECREATION REPORT: Lorraine Zorn passed out the October thru December 2018 and January 2019 reports. (1) Trips – Lorraine stated the next day trips to Chukchansi Casino is march 21, 2019. (2) Special Events - Lorraine stated that upcoming events for October and November are:  (3) Past events: • Halloween Bash, Wednesday, October 31st, sponsored by Altura Centers for Health & Family Healthcare Network • Veterans Day Ceremony & Luncheon, Tuesday, November 6th, sponsored by United Way & family Healthcare Network • Give Thanks Luncheon, November 16th, sponsored by United Way & Family Healthcare Network • Christmas Luncheon December 21st , sponsored by United Way & Tulare Cabrillo Club • Superbowl Luncheon February 2nd • Volunteer Ceremony February 8th, sponsored by Tulare Cabrillo Club. Sandy Benevidez was our 2018 Volunteer of the Year. Upcoming events: St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon (4) Classes & Activities – None. c. TULARE SENIOR SERVICES REPORT: No report. VIII. OLD BUSINESS – None NEW BUSINESS – (1). Home Delivery Policy Review – Tabled to next meeting, April 17, 2019 IX. ITEMS OF BOARD INTEREST– None X.
