MEETING MINUTES
TUMWATER LEOFF DISABILITY BOARD
August 14, 2025
CONVENE: 11:03 a.m.
PRESENT: Chair Rick Sapp and Commissioners, Angela Jefferson and Jim
Tuggle
Excused: Secretary / Chief Examiner Michelle Sutherland,
Commissioner Peter Agabi
Staff: Acting Secretary / Chief Examiner Matt Middleton
DISCUSSION: Comments were shared to reinforce the Commissioners’ respect
to duty and service by attending all possible meetings. The new
process of verifying communication regarding meetings is
working and to continue with it at this time.
APPROVAL OF Commissioner Tuggle moved, seconded by Chair Sapp, to
MINUTES: approve the minutes of July 10, 2025. A voice vote approved
the motion.
PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment.
CLOSED SESSION: The LEOFF board went into a closed session at 11:15 a.m. to
SUBMITTED CLAIMS review submitted claim(s).
OPEN SESSION: The LEOFF board returned to an open session at 11:27 a.m.
VOTE ON SUBMITTED Discussion of submitted claims. Commissioner Jefferson
CLAIMS called for a motion to approve and pay the claim until
circumstances change. Vote called, all aye, motioned
approved.
NEXT MEETIN DATE: The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2025.
ADJOURNMENT: With there being no further business, Chair Sapp adjourned
the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
